Thank you Anna. I think you touch on the fact that some things can only be learned through experience, regardless of whether it is a good or bad one. Here’s to the learning and sharing.

Thank you Julie. I really appreciate your kind words. I don’t consider myself to be courageous but I do feel prepared to cope with whatever comes along. I am fortunate to be supported by loving family, friends and many psychological resources. Also, remember I am not currently not suffering from symptoms of pain or illness. I am almost certain to face more challenges along the way but I am humbled by the tenacity of those who have been dealing with FAP in their families for many years, some affected as teenagers or even younger. They inspire me.

Thank you for sharing your story Sue. I suppose we are confirming what we know – ‘life is unpredictable’, and yet until it happens to us we live our lives as though we have control over what happens next. I believe strongly that there are many of us who can connect over the circumstance of adversity and learn how to navigate our way through the challenges ahead. I really appreciate your positive message and I also send you hugs and *positive resonance (*to be explained in a future blog).

I have to say, as a passenger, this is quite an uncomfortable journey – it’s ok, I’ve flown with many budget airlines – but this discomfort is not because of the lack of quality or the cutting of any corners, or making quick turnarounds, this is purely due to your honesty and courage and I want to thank you for sharing this so openly.
